Organist Ulrich Walther takes the audience on a journey to the golden age of silent films. In Buster Keaton's film Viikko rakennusmiehenä a young couple receives as a wedding gift a house delivered in boxes, which according to the instructions can be assembled together in one week. Of course, nothing goes as in Strömsössä. Hassunkuriset sinfoniat/Egyptiläiset melodiat is a series of 75 short films in which Walt Disney tested new animation techniques before using them in feature films. Charles Chaplin, on the other hand, tested the traits of his legendary vagabond character in the early short A Night in the Show. One‑hundred‑year‑old moving pictures are commented on and coloured by the improvised music on the organ of Ulrich Walther at Musiikkitalo.
