Porvoo Jazz Goes Local: East Newland Trio - Pulseline.
Trion kolmella jäsenellä on pitkä yhteinen historia eri kokoonpanoista, mainittakoon tässä Jukka Gustavsonin kanssa toteutettu Procol Harum-projekti. Lisäksi trio on muodostanut rytmiryhmän Mirella Pendolinin tuotannoissa.
Pulseline-projektilla halutaan tuoda esille eri jazztyyleissä toimivien säveltäjien, kuten Ornette Colemanin, Keith Jarrettin sekä kotimaisten Jarmo Savolaisen ja Sonny Heinilän melodioita. Käyttäen niitä ponnahduslautoina improvisaatioille trio vie kuulijan mukaan matkaan jossa väliasemat voivat yllättää mutta päädytään kuitenkin (jokseenkin) turvallisesti kotiin.
