Red Nose Company: The Perfect Musical – A Journey to the Underworld

The clown duo Secret (Amira Khalifa) and Tiktak (Nora Raikamo) want to blow everyone's minds in the musical field. With their unfulfilled youthful dreams and all the leading roles in musicals they never got to play during their careers in mind, they decide to create, together with clown musician Delta Airwaves (Jussu Pöyhönen), the perfect musical, composing which is Delta's great dream. As they reach for the heavens of the theater world, the clowns inevitably slip towards the limitations of their earthly mortal shells. How do you strive for perfection when your leg no longer bends into a split or rises to ear height? The clowns must face the merciless fact that the body decays and life does not go on forever. Do they finally have the turning point after which the direction is downward, towards letting go and death, towards the dwellings of the underworld? On their perfect journey, our clown trio seeks guidance from the myth of the Sumerian goddess of love and war, Inanna, descending into the underworld. Their only option is to sing their inner feelings out once and for all and dance their bodily limits into visibility. After all, they have nothing left to lose but their humor. The Perfect Musical – A Journey to the Underworld is a domestic world premiere. Secret and Tiktak have already captivated audiences in their previous mind-blowing performance, Mieletön.
