In an atmospheric Christmas concert, familiar and unknown Baroque sounds will be performed by two discant choirs and an instrumental ensemble. The programme also includes rarely heard works by women composers. Among the composers is Dietrich Buxtehude, whose In Dulci jubilo will be heard. The concert title Rosa Mystica refers to the Virgin Mary and is linked to several pieces, such as Isabella Leonarda’s beautiful motet Ave Regina Caelorum. Performers: Kaari Ensemble, Women’s Choir Kupliva, conductors Viena Kangas and Markus Luomala, Baroque ensemble Stella.
