The project is directed by Professor Veli-Matti Puumala and Lecturer Jusa Peltoniemi. During the project composition and writing students work in close collaboration and participate in workshops where singers Tuuli Lindeberg and Martti Anttila demonstrate essential established and new vocal techniques and discuss issues related to composing for female and male voices. In the autumn, composers will be able to test drafts of their works together with the performers. The workshops and concert are part of the Composition and Music Theory programme’s long‑term artistic and educational activities, in which young composition students develop their skills and network. Performers: Tuuli Lindeberg, soprano; Martti Anttila, tenor; Zagros Ensemble; Petri Komulainen, conductor. More information: Janne Ikäheimo, [email protected]. Changes are possible.
